Blue Dream Sardinia review: private charters to La Maddalena from Cannigione and Porto Cervo

Blue Dream Sardinia is a charter company on the Gulf of Arzachena, and most Blue Dream Sardinia reviews you will read are about a day on a private boat with a skipper rather than a seat on a shared motor ship. Locals file it under charter, not under the escursioni sold at the Palau kiosks. The company, registered as Blue Dream Sardinia S.R.L. with an address at via delle Maree 17 in Cannigione, says it has been operating since 2011 with a fleet it owns outright.

That distinction matters. On this site we mostly compare shared tours from Palau and La Maddalena; this operator sits in the premium, price-per-boat segment, closer to what we cover on our private charter guide. What they offer

The services page lists five named tours: the Maddalena Archipelago, Caprera and the east side of La Maddalena, the Emerald Coast (Costa Smeralda), southern Corsica and the Tavolara marine reserve. Beyond day tours the company sells a sunset outing, a fishing charter on a Regulator 28, fast transfers between Sardinia and Corsica, and rentals of a week or longer.

The archipelago tour page names Spargi, Budelli and the pools of the Manto della Madonna (the shallow lagoon between Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria, also called Porto della Madonna), plus La Maddalena town and Caprera. The exact order and the number of stops are not fixed online; with a private boat the skipper chooses the anchorages by wind. Note that the same page describes the Pink Beach as a UNESCO site, which is not something we could confirm; what is certain, according to the Parco Nazionale dell’Arcipelago di La Maddalena, is that landing there is forbidden and boats look from the water.

One practical point: the archipelago tour page lists Porto Cervo and Poltu Quatu as starting points, while the company’s base is Cannigione. From Cannigione the run to Budelli is longer than from Palau, so on a half-day charter expect more time under way and less at anchor.

Boats and comfort

The site states a fleet of 8 RIBs, 9 yachts and one boat for fishing, sunsets and transfers. The RIB list includes Joker Boat Clubman 28, 30 and 35, a Joker 32, Seanfinity R2 and R4 and a SACS Strider 45. The yacht list runs from an Azimut Atlantis 34 and 39 through an Itama Forty, a Sarnico Spider and a Seanfinity T43 up to a Rizzardi Incredible 45, a Cayman 58 and a Dalla Pietà 58 HT.

Passenger numbers per boat are not on the pages we read, and we did not verify toilets or shade boat by boat. As a rule, the RIBs are open with a bimini at best; the yachts have a cabin, a head and a proper table. Snorkel kits and pool noodles come with every boat, and the yachts add a stand-up paddleboard. Ask which hull you are actually getting before you pay a deposit.

Prices and what’s included

Blue Dream Sardinia prices are not published on the site at the time of writing (September 2026). Every charter is quoted per boat through the online form, by phone or by e-mail, based on date, boat and group. The fishing charter page states explicitly that fuel and pick-up or drop-off transport are not included, which is a fair sign that fuel is an extra on other formats too, so ask.

What the site says is included on the yachts: soft drinks, beer and a welcome prosecco, plus the snorkel gear and SUP already mentioned. Chargeable extras listed: a Jobe sea scooter, towels, water skiing and tubing, an on-board massage (minimum three treatments), a wine selection, fast transfers and even a table at the Phi Beach club. Lunch is not a standard inclusion on the pages we read; treat food as something to arrange when you book.

Park matters: the operator holds its own authorisation, but the national park’s per-person contribution and any mooring costs can still surface on a private charter. Ask for a written all-in figure.

Insider tip: Request the quote for two boat classes at once, one RIB and one small yacht, for the same date. The difference in price is often smaller than you expect, and a yacht gives shade and a toilet, which changes a July day with children.

What customers say

On Tripadvisor the listing “Blue Dream Sardinia Charter & Service” in Cannigione showed a 4.9 rating from 159 reviews at the time of writing, ranked 8th of 60 outdoor activities there, with reviews stretching from 2020 to June 2026. The pattern is consistent: people recommend skippers by name, describe boats as clean and well kept, and mention dolphins, quiet coves and an easy office to deal with by e-mail. Several reviews are from couples marking an anniversary; a few are from families.

We did not find recurring complaints on the pages we read. That is unusual in this segment and worth stating plainly, with the caveat that a charter company with fewer than 200 reviews has a smaller sample than the big motor ships from Palau with a thousand or more.

Departure logistics

Cannigione is about 15 km from Palau and roughly 45 minutes by car from Olbia airport via Arzachena. The marina has paid parking in season; arrive early in August. If your quote says Porto Cervo or Poltu Quatu, allow for the winding coast road from Arzachena and ask exactly which pontoon to walk to. Because there is no kiosk, your meeting instructions come by e-mail or message, so keep the phone charged.

Mistral days are the same for everyone: a private charter is cancelled or rerouted to the sheltered Costa Smeralda side when the wind blows from the north-west. Clarify the refund or new-date policy in writing.

Who should book it, and who should not

Book Blue Dream Sardinia if you are a group of six to twelve, want a private boat with a skipper, and value a route chosen by the day’s wind over a printed timetable. It also makes sense for anglers, for a sunset run along the Costa Smeralda and for anyone needing a fast crossing to Corsica.

Skip it if you want a fixed price per person, if you are two people on a budget, or if you are staying in Palau or La Maddalena and can simply walk to a boat. For those cases a shared tour from Palau costs a fraction and reaches the same islands.

Insider tip: For a private day around Budelli and Santa Maria, a departure from Palau saves almost an hour of motoring compared with Cannigione. Compare a Palau-based private option before you commit to the Costa Smeralda pickup.

We did not find this operator on GetYourGuide, and its Facebook page presents it as a boat charter company in Porto Cervo and Arzachena. Expect a deposit and a written quote; keep both.
