A site with no accounts, no forms and no advertising trackers. Here is what is still collected, by whom, for how long, and what rights you have over it.

This privacy policy describes what personal data is processed when you visit lamaddalena.boats or write to the editorial team, in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR) and Italian data protection law. The site is built to collect as little as possible.

Data controller

The data controller is the lamaddalena.boats editorial team. For any request about personal data, write to info@lamaddalena.boats. Other details are on the contact page.

What we do not collect

  • There are no user accounts: you never register and you have no password.
  • There are no contact forms, newsletters or comments.
  • We use no advertising trackers, no social network pixels and no profiling tools.
  • We neither sell nor pass on data to third parties for marketing.

Server logs

Like any website, the server hosting lamaddalena.boats automatically records some technical data with every request: IP address, date and time, page requested, response code, browser and operating system, and referring page. These logs exist to keep the site working and secure and to spot abuse.

Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in the security and correct functioning of the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept only as long as those purposes require, then deleted or anonymised, unless they must be kept longer to establish an offence. The hosting provider processes the logs as a data processor.

The tour pages embed GetYourGuide widgets (iframes and scripts) that display prices, availability and product cards. These elements are served directly from the servers of GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH and may set cookies or similar technologies on your device, under that platform’s own rules. Processing of data collected through the widgets is described in GetYourGuide’s privacy policy, which we encourage you to read; we have no access to that data.

Booking links (/go/tour-name/) redirect to the GetYourGuide site. From the moment you leave lamaddalena.boats, your data is handled by the platform and by the operator you book with. If you do book, the platform sends us aggregate commission figures only, never your personal data.

Traffic statistics

To understand which pages get read and from which countries, we may use analytics tools. Where they are in use, they are configured to work without cookies and to return only aggregate, anonymous figures (visits, pages, country, device type), without identifying individual visitors or following them across sites. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring use of the site. Should we ever adopt tools that require consent, we will update this page and ask for consent before switching them on.

Email correspondence

If you write to info@lamaddalena.boats, we process your address, the content of your message and any attachments in order to answer you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or responding to a request from you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in managing correspondence. Messages are kept for as long as it takes to deal with the request and any follow-up, then deleted. Please do not send payment details or identity documents: they are not needed and they are deleted.

Cookies

lamaddalena.boats sets no profiling cookies of its own. Technical cookies needed to run the site may be set, as may third-party cookies from the GetYourGuide widgets described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the widgets may then fail to display, but the rest of the site remains readable.

Recipients and transfers

Technical data is processed by the hosting provider. Data collected by the widgets is processed by GetYourGuide. Some providers may hold data on servers outside the European Union; where that happens, the transfer rests on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses adopted by those providers.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR you have the right to:

  • confirm whether your data is being processed and obtain access to it;
  • ask for it to be corrected or erased;
  • have processing restricted, or object to it;
  • receive your data in a structured format (portability), where that applies;
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority in your country of residence.

To exercise these rights, write to info@lamaddalena.boats. We reply within the time limits set by the GDPR, normally within one month.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data about them.
